As the Real-Time Marketing Conference in Boston for the DMA, we were asked to deliver a daily highlight video that would be posted to the clients web site, You-Tube and other social media sites on a daily basis. This video was shot, edited, encoded and posted within an 8 hour window. When it comes to corporate event production, shooting and editing video for events, and event management for a conference of this scale, Legend is a practiced and reliable resource.

LED lighting has been on the scene for several years now. We utilize these instruments for dozens of corporate events around the world because they are a wonderful tool for creating unique looks on a restrictive lighting budget. LED instruments are energy efficient and remain cool compared to conventional lighting fixtures. For the 2011 International Echo Awards, the Direct Marketing Association wanted to produce an awards show that was completely clean, fresh, and most importantly, with the times. The Echo Awards honor the world’s best direct marketing campaigns that have raised the bar in terms of strategy, creativity and results. Each year, an Echo Awards Gallery booth is set up during the 5-day DMA Annual conference where attendees can browse paper portfolios of the winning campaigns that will be represented during the upcoming show. Since the majority of attendees pride themselves on being tech savvy and current, Legend Productions felt that creating a custom “app” for the frequently used and loved iPad 2 would be a step in the right direction for the annual conference. The app was created to complement the paper portfolios but enhance the browsing experience in a quick, easy digital fashion. Viewers were even able to watch and listen to campaign case study videos and TV/Web advertisements from the various campaigns. The user-friendly interface allows viewers to check out all the materials of their own campaigns as well as their competition with just a simple tap and swipe.

The portfolio was created with input from the entire Legend team and the end product was a seamless, clean application. The creative look and hip feel that correlates with the theme graphics for the actual award show provided attendee-wide satisfaction. The iPad application is a first for Legend Productions and has proved to be a successful one for the client.
